Jardine, Liz
*Topeka, Kansas (USA)American artist Liz Jardine studied art at the State University of New York Buffalo. After graduation, she continued to learn and experiment with art and painting at the Phoenix Art Group, of which she was artistic director for over 10 years. She has had her own studio, Jardine Studio, since 2001.
Her paintings range from abstraction to still life to motifs inspired by Tuscan tapestries and have a wide variety of subjects. However, they all relate to nature, which is her main object of inspiration and, in her opinion, an endless source of beauty. Landscapes and flowers are therefore her favorite subjects. She paints mainly on canvas, but also likes to experiment with wood and metal engravings, etchings and silkscreens. In her prints, she places special emphasis on the harmony of the colors and the emotions they convey.
She now lives in San Diego, where she sells her paintings and does a lot of custom painting through her studio, especially for interior designers. Her paintings and prints not only adorn the walls of large hotels and offices in the U.S., but are also popular purchases worldwide.
