Anna-Eva Bergman: Original Woodcut "L'air" (The Air) 1974, signed

For her album "L'Or de vivre" (The Gold of Life), released in 1974, the Norwegian painter created fascinating, oversized woodcuts accompanied by poems by the French writer Jean Proal, who had already passed away at that time. In these, Bergman addresses the four elements of water, earth, air and fire, as well as love, death, and - above all - life itself as relevant to human existence. All of these woodcuts were printed in black or Prussian blue and the special colors gold or silver, and are signed and numbered by the artist.
