Details:"Soleil et lune II" (Sun And Moon II) The two hemispheres of sun and moon directly next to each other. A black bird is assigned to the sun, held in warm tones, and a blue bird to the full, pale moon. Here, in "Soleil et lune II", the brown bird is missing that seems to connect sun and moon in "Soleil et lune I". The sky is also darker now – did something happen between the two sequences, or is it simply nightfall on Earth? What is the story that Braque is telling us here in his amazing artwork?
