One part of it is painted in the pale, colourless shades of winter. But the centre of the work is the happy and colourful head of the "Chagall animal" (the small horned donkey). It is accompanied by further symbols from the artist’s characteristic fauna: fish and bird. As the title suggests, this colourful trio announces the coming of spring, when humans can also finally revive.
