| | Details:"Mädchen mit Sommerhut" (Girl with Summer Hat) Actually, the more correct title for this picture would have been "Girl with Fur Collar", because in contrast to the somewhat indefinite summer hat, the winter accessory around the neck of the beauty was drawn precisely by Wunderlich. Typically for him, to create confusion in the - supposed - trivialities. For the challenging, direct gaze of the girl is what Wunderlich was obviously after in this scene, which seems frozen in time. The cool, androgynous aloofness thus required the warmth of the fur collar, while the violet-lime green summer hat softens the severity emanating from the portrait.
