Details:"Hausfrauen" (Housewives) - 1971 German artist Wolfgang Petrick brought these two tattooed, pierced drama queens to artistic life 50 years ago - long before there were Desperate Housewives or punks. At that time, he shot at everything that came in front of his intellectual and, above all, socially critical shotgun, and the topic of "housewives" must have virtually forced itself on him. As a reminder: In 1971, more than half of all women were still full-time housewives. As detailed as they are macabre, these ladies equipped with all kinds of household goods and martial tools, including a vacuum cleaner bolted to the shoulder of one of them.
