Details:"Forio" - 1972 After World War II, the small town of Forio on the Italian island of Ischia became Eduard Bargheer's adopted home, and after his return to Hamburg, his summer residence. Both places were welcome motifs for Bargheer to capture in his paintings. A gifted engraver, he succeeded in giving his aquatint prints the glazing effect of watercolors, making them appear as if they were unique pieces. Offered here is one of 65 numbered copies on BFK Rives wove paper.
